James Radcliffe, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Oregon, stated in his book, "A great deal of current clinical research reinforces the concept that dynamic preparation is far more beneficial than a series of passive and static stretches."

The following warmup will be executed every day before practice and is encouraged to be utilized when warming up for events at meets. Additionaly, more event specific warmup excercises are encouraged to be done after this inital warmup.

All movements can be done 10 yards at a time:

Knee Grab
Froggie
Straight Leg March
Heel Walk
Toe Walk
Forward Lunge
Side-to-Side Lunge
Skip
Shuffle
Carioca
Backward Run
"A" Skip
"B" Skip
Russian Skip
